The Third International Conference of Management and Industrial
Engineering
ICMIE 2007
The International Conference of Management and Industrial Engineering ICMIE is
organised by the Industrial Management Chair of the Politehnica University of
Bucharest.
The conference is open for all those interested in current
and future issues in management and industrial engineering, and continues the
tradition of the Industrial Management Chair from Politehnica University of Bucharest to organise high quality scientific
events involving well-known scholars and personalities.
The ICMIE 2007
theme is "Management in the Knowledge Society".

EDITING INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
- Please use Microsoft
Office Word 2003 editor or newer
- Maximum 8 pages A4 in English language, including abstract, figures, tables
and references – left and right 4 cm, top and bottom 5 cm
- The paper must use Times New Roman fonts, one row spacing, justified
- All content must be of size 10 pt, except where is differently specified
- Title
with font 12 pt, bold, center, capital letters
- Authors’
names, titles, institution, country – under the title, font 10
pt, center, indent left and right 1 cm
- Two free rows 10 pt, after the authors' names

Abstract
should be in italics, font 8 pt, center,
indent left and right 1 cm, please no more than 10 lines
- Two free rows should be introduced between the abstract and before the first
paragraph of the paper, 10 pt

Subtitles should be in font 10 pt, bold, center, without numbers

Under each subtitle one free row 8pt should exist
- First line indent should be 1 cm all times
- All pictures, charts and tables must be centered
- The last page must be at least 50% covered

CONFERENCE FEE
- Before 31.08.2007: 75 EUR
- After 31.08.2007 but no later than 01.10.2007:
100 EUR
- The conference fee is paid per participant/author.

When completing the form at the bank, please specify your full name and

OTHER INFORMATION
One participant can be the first author on a maximum of 2 papers. The
same participant can be on a third paper, but only as co-author (in the second
or third position).
Participants from Romania must send the abstracts and the papers both in English and
Romanian language.
A volume with all papers in English will be published, and a CD with the
papers in Romanian language will be distributed to the participants.
Accepted papers will be published in ICMIE 2007 Proceedings. Papers may
be excluded from the Conference Proceedings if Conference Fee is not received by
01.10.2007.
